The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 55-year-old Pedro Rosda, who has moved to a residence on South Lander Street in Newburgh.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Rosda a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Rosda had deviate sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old victim in August 1996. He was convicted of third-degree rape of a victim under the age of 17 in May the following year. Rosda is now under the jurisdiction of the Newburgh City Police Department.
